Your Dream Surf Holiday Awaits

The Lodge

In the heart of Praia das Maçãs you will find us, a 100+ year old building, brimming with Portuguese character, where no wall is quite straight and no room is perfectly symmetrical. And that’s how we like it.

There is a subtle coastal theme running throughout, with home-made driftwood lights, whitewashed walls, ocean inspired artwork, wooden floorboards and cool hues of blue. Our guest bedrooms, all named after world renowned waves, open directly onto their own balcony, from which you can breathe in the salty air and watch the ever moving water that is 200m away. The fourth bedroom is located at the back of the lodge and is the closest to the roof terrace, which boasts panoramic views of both the majestic Sintra mountains and the big blue of the Atlantic Ocean.

Common Spaces

Our aim has been to make the lodge as welcoming as possible and we are extremely pleased to say that our most common compliment is how much our guests feel at home here.

Our cosy lounge features three sofas and one quirky armchair, a careful mix of textiles from velvet to corduroy, organic pieces locally sourced and handmade and a diverse book collection free for use as holiday reading material. Just off from the lounge is large dining room, filled with natural light from huge windows that look down the road to the sea, the perfect breakfast spot to watch the world go by. The fully equipped kitchen, with its colourfully tiled floor, extra large 5 hob gas oven and custom made wooden countertops is there for everyone’s use. Unless you want to dine at one of the delicious local restaurants of course.
